We do not sell, trade, or rent users’ personal information to others. We may share generic aggregated demographic information that is not linked to any personal identification information with our business partners and trusted affiliates.
To deliver text messages, we share mobile phone numbers and message content with our messaging provider, Twilio, acting as our service provider, solely to transmit the messages a school has authorized. We may also disclose information where required by law.
Mobile phone numbers and SMS consent data — including opt-in and opt-out status and the confirmation reply — are not shared with, or sold to, any third parties or affiliates. The only exception is our messaging provider, Twilio, which acts as our service provider solely to transmit the messages a school has authorized (and is not permitted to use the data for any other purpose), together with any disclosure required by law. This data is never shared with third parties or affiliates for their own marketing or promotional purposes.
5.1. Schools use Aqui Aca to send text messages to Recipients about student attendance and school activities, and Recipients may reply to those messages. Messages are transmitted through Twilio and sent from a phone number provisioned for the school.
5.2. Recipients can opt out at any time by replying STOP (or UNSUBSCRIBE, CANCEL, END, or QUIT) to any message, and can opt back in by replying START (or YES or UNSTOP). Recipients can reply HELP or contact us at dan+sms@aquiaca.com for assistance. Message and data rates may apply, and message frequency varies.
5.3. Schools are responsible for obtaining any consent required to contact their Recipients by text message, as described in our Terms of Service.
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect the security of your personal information. However, please be aware that no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure.
Our Application is intended for use by teachers and may involve the collection of information about children under the age of 13. We comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA). Teachers are responsible for obtaining any necessary parental consent for the collection of student information.
